Meet the Pet
This helps Prattville/Autauga Humane Society with pet care costs.
General (DG) is a 6-month-old Black Lab/Boxer mix who must be neutered before adoption. He was found in the parking lot of Dollar General when he was only 8 weeks old! General has been in foster for 4 months; and he is doing great! He currently weighs 36 pounds and we believe he will be a medium sized adult dog. He is the picture of health with his gorgeous black, shiny coat! General is smart as can be; and has learned so many things while in foster. He is both house trained and crate trained. He knows the commands--sit, shake, kennel up, etc. You can see in his pictures that we didn't even need a leash to make while he was outside for pictures. General is very well behaved, listen well, and has been easy to train. He gets along well with everybody--staff, volunteers, children, and other dogs. General is the total package of a dog--beauty, brains, and so gentle and loving.
Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75. All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
