My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Reece!

Reece’s story is one of strength and second chances. He was found at a local business with a painful leg injury, but thanks to surgical care and lots of love, this brave boy has healed and is now ready for his forever home! ✨

Reece is the definition of joy—loving, playful, and always ready to brighten your day. His biggest wishes? A cozy bed to snuggle into and a best friend to play endless games of fetch with.

This sweet boy has been through so much, and now he’s ready for the happy ending he deserves. Could that be with you? ❤️

More about this rescue

Welcome to Murray County Humane Society!

Murray County Humane Society is a 100% volunteer-run, GA-licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue based in rural North Georgia. Our mission is to provide second chances to animals in need by assisting with owner surrenders and rescuing shelter pets that might otherwise face euthanasia.

Every animal in our care receives essential veterinary care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services before being matched with a loving, qualified family. Through compassion, dedication, and community support, we work to give each animal the opportunity to live a safe and happy life.
