My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Grumpy
Don’t let his name fool you—this sweet boy is anything but grumpy! One of our adorable “7 dwarfs” litter, Grumpy came to the shelter with his six siblings and has been winning hearts ever since.

He’s up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped, so he’s ready to start his next chapter. Grumpy is patiently waiting for a forever home where he will be loved, cherished, and spoiled the way every dog deserves.

If you’re looking for a loyal friend with a gentle heart, Grumpy might just be your perfect match. Come meet him—you’ll see right away that his personality is pure sunshine.

More about this rescue

Welcome to Murray County Humane Society!

Murray County Humane Society is a 100% volunteer-run, GA-licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue based in rural North Georgia. Our mission is to provide second chances to animals in need by assisting with owner surrenders and rescuing shelter pets that might otherwise face euthanasia.

Every animal in our care receives essential veterinary care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services before being matched with a loving, qualified family. Through compassion, dedication, and community support, we work to give each animal the opportunity to live a safe and happy life.
