My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tipsy and Dizzy are looking for a home TOGETHER! These girls have moderate CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia). They came into our care when they were babies, only a month old with their 3 siblings and their mom.

These girls are FANTASTIC!! They are determined, affectionate and sweet lap kitties. They LOVE being held and they expect it. Their favorite time of the day is when they get to be held and fall asleep in your arms. They are great companions while watching the television.

They do not let their condition slow them down one bit. They insist on climbing up onto the couch for naps to get cozy. They enjoy grooming one another (to help reach spots they can't get themselves), playing, stalking, wrestling and snuggling with one another.

They enjoy a variety of toys and will carry them in their mouths once they catch them and bat them around the room. These girls are resilient and are looking for an amazing family to match how amazing they are!

Dizzy is "clingy" and vocal, she likes to talk back to you. She is full of adoration for people and her sister, she is relatively "low maintenance" and affection oriented.

Tipsy is more headstrong, excitable and playful, she is confident where Dizzy is a tad more reserved (but not timid) and very curious. Tipsy will swing at you if she thinks you are stopping her pets too soon. We keep her nails trimmed for this reason :-)

More about this rescue

We are located in South Mississippi, but travel up the east coast regularly (every 2 to 3 weeks) with pre-adopted animals. Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently. Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue.
