This helps Brooklyn Animal Action with pet care costs.
Meet Egbert, a gentle, loyal, and fun 1.5-year-old guy who is definitely not your average couch potato! Once "Eggie" opens up, he’s ready to take the world by storm. Despite being a young adult, Egbert has the heart of a kitten, possessing bounds of energy that result in him zooming through the apartment multiple times a day.
If you’re looking for a dedicated playmate, couch companion, and super cute roommate, look no further. Eggie is all that and more! He enjoys pets as much as he loves his cat dancer toy. He’s even been known to hunt down his favorite toy after it’s been put away to try and start a solo game. He knows how to be laid back and independent, but also loves following his human around. This sweet, good-natured boy is looking for a home that appreciates a cat with equal parts chill disposition and a zest for life.
As cute as his story is, Egbert had a rough past: As an outside cat with a leg injury, he had been on our radar for months, being cared for by kind neighbors. Unfortunately, when they asked us for help, he disappeared for months. But we didn't give up, and neither did Egbert and his kind caretakers. We finally found him again and brought him inside just as the weather turned.
He's a young a healthy boy—1.5 years old, neutered, vaccinated, free of fleas and parasites, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He's in a foster home with another boy cat and has been completely easygoing.
