If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Luna Is1.5 and a very sweet girl. I got her when she was 8 weeks old from the Richmond SPCA. She is a bit shy at first and can get spooked by loud noises, but once she becomes comfortable with a person and her environment, she is very playful, friendly, and gentle. She enjoys cuddling and attention, but only on her own terms, as I like to say. She prefers when someone sits down and relaxes so she can approach them on her own for affection and cuddles.
I’ve noticed that Luna does really well with training, especially when I redirect behaviors using repetition and rewards (treats). I have a big family, so it took her a little longer to interact with everyone in the house since she likes to be aware of her surroundings. She does best with one-on-one interactions.
The only reason I am considering rehoming Luna is because I now work full time and am also a full-time student, which means I am out of the house most of the time. I feel bad that I can’t give her the attention she deserves.
