Chungus isn’t just a name...it’s a lifestyle. This sweet, silly, and absolutely lovable boy is estimated to be about 8 years old and weighs in at a solid 25 pounds of pure charm. He came to us as a stray and honestly we still can’t get over what a character he is!!
Chungus has a congenital limb difference on one of his front legs, but don’t let that fool you he gets around just fine and hasn’t let it slow him down a bit. He was born this way and has learned to navigate life like a pro, no surgery or pain involved. He also has a history of dry eyes, which is managed with daily eye drops, keeping him comfy.
Personality-wise Chungus is a dream. He’s the perfect mix of playful and chill. He enjoys bopping around and playing with his dog friends, but he’s just as happy lounging by your side on the couch, soaking up belly rubs and attention. Walks? Yes, but at his own leisurely pace sniffing the grass, taking in the scenery, living life in the slow lane like the legend he is.
Despite his “chunky” stature, Chungus has a surprisingly lighthearted spirit. He’s affectionate, silly, and downright hilarious at times, the kind of dog who makes you smile just by existing. He bonds deeply with people and will happily be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, and your daily dose of laughter.
Chungus would thrive in a calm, loving home where someone appreciates his quirky personality, his slower pace, and his big heart. He’s perfect for anyone looking for a devoted, funny, and endlessly sweet companion who will stick by their side through thick and thin.
If you’re ready to meet the ultimate couch potato/playtime partner, Chungus might just be your guy. Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
