Winston is an 8-month-old mixed breed, likely mountain cur, pit bull, and hound. He is a high-energy, curious, playful and social dog, who loves to tug and run around at the dog park with other dogs his size. His favorite toys are his tree tug and hardy chew toys that keep his mouth busy. Our family adopted Winston at two months old. He has gone through some training and knows how to sit, lie down, stay, shake, and go to his bed or crate. He is pretty good at walking on a leash and loves to go on hikes. He also loves to cuddle as if he is a lap dog. While Winston is a great dog, he is not a great fit in our household. He is curious about cats and he will chase and corner our cat. He is a bit too rough in his interactions with our child (9 years old). While he is not trying to be harmful, he uses his mouth and large body to play and can overpower our daughter. He would thrive in a home either as the only pet or with other big dogs and a lot of outdoor space to explore.
