My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trooper came to us as a stray in severe condition, with hair so overgrown and matted that it had become rock solid in places. Our staff initially attempted to shave him, but it quickly became clear that Trooper needed to be sedated for his comfort and safety.

Thankfully, Chippewa Vet Clinic made time to help this sweet boy, and we are incredibly grateful. Once Trooper was finally free of the mats, we were shocked to discover just how small he truly is…a total of 5.2 pounds of hair was removed.

Trooper is an older gentleman, estimated to be around 9 years old, who would thrive in a quiet, calm household. He prefers gentle handling and doesn’t enjoy being poked or prodded, so a home without young children would be the best fit for him.
