Princess is a young Great Dane with the gentlest soul and the biggest heart. At just 1 year old, she's still very much a puppy - playful, affectionate, and eager to please. Despite everything she's been through, she loves people and greets everyone with a wagging tail.
HER STORY
Princess came to us after being found injured on the 405 freeway. She had FHO surgery in January 2026 to repair her hip, and she's now in the rehabilitation phase of her recovery. She's doing beautifully and will be fully healed and ready for her forever home soon.
PERSONALITY
Princess is friendly, sweet, and remarkably trusting given her past. She's gentle with people, loves attention, and has that classic Great Dane "velcro dog" personality - she just wants to be near you. She's still learning what it means to be safe and loved, and she's blossoming more every day.
She can be a little nervous in new situations (totally understandable), but she settles quickly with patience and gentle reassurance. She's food-motivated, treat-focused, and eager to learn.
MEDICAL NOTES
Princess has fully recovered from her FHO surgery and is pain-free. She walks normally and has full mobility. Her surgery site is completely healed. She's spayed, up to date on vaccines, and medically cleared for adoption.
IDEAL HOME
Princess needs a home that understands large breed dogs - Great Danes are big, powerful, and need confident handling. She would do best with:
✓ A family committed to continued training and socialization
✓ A home with space for a giant breed dog
✓ Owners experienced with large or giant breeds (preferred)
✓ Someone home regularly - she's very people-oriented
✓ A secure yard where she can stretch her legs
