Flora came to us feeling very unsure of the world and spent her early days quietly hiding. With time, patience, and kindness, she has made steady and meaningful progress and is now much more comfortable around people. She has formed a few people friends, enjoys playtime, and has been welcoming more pets, especially when things are calm and familiar.
Flora continues to come out of her shell and show her sweet and goofy personality more each day. She will do best with a cat-savvy adopter who understands that trust is something earned and is happy to let her move at her own pace. With a calm home and continued patience, we know Flora will keep building confidence and settling into the loving companion she is becoming.

If they are in Wantagh or in a foster home, please submit an online application and our team will reach out to further discuss the adoption process. Prior to adoption, all of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and given their age-appropriate vaccines.

Our adoption team will contact you via email to coordinate a Zoom interview with the pets foster parent so you can learn about how he or she has been doing in a home. After a Zoom meeting, we will schedule an in-person interaction at the shelter so you can meet the pet and take them home with you same day!
