She is a likely ~10mo to 1 yr 60lb spayed female Shepherd mix. She is fantastic in her kennel, we've never heard her bark, and she doesn't pull on leash. She is the calmest young dog Ive ever met while indoors. She is more than happy to lounge around and go right to sleep, and is a big cuddler. She is very polite and has shown no signs of resource guarding toward humans. She lays down and sleeps in the car. In the yard she does have prey drive when it comes to small moving animals so we don't think she would do well in a house with cats. Fern has shown aggression to our other dog in our home, so may never be able to safely live with another dog. Outside on leash she has met other dogs and gone on walks with our dog and friends' dogs with absolutely no issues, but in the home is an issue for her. She gets mildly excited to see dogs outside but doesn't pull toward them. We don't know how she is with kids. We are heart broken to part with her.
Fern is a diamond in the rough.
