Clarence is living in a foster home. Please submit an application from our website and email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to see if you're a match!
Nine-year-old Clarence has a whole lot of personality wrapped up in a tiny little body! He was recently returned to us after his adopters had drastic life changes that made them no longer able to care for him. He has been in a foster home with a staff member while we made sure he was medically ready for adoption and he is now ready to find a home to call his own!
Clarence wears a shirt that says "The Boss" and that pretty much sums him up in two words! Clarence runs the world and believes everyone is meant to shower him with love and affection, which we are happy to do! He will be the perfect addition to a home that is looking for a little shadow and cuddle buddy🥰
Clarence might be small, at only 6lbs, but he has a loud mouth and he isn't afraid to use it when he thinks he isn't getting enough attention! He is a cross between a siren and a howler monkey, it is a really a sound to behold! His foster, and everyone at the shelter, have learned to embrace it and just laugh at the weird noises, but because of this he does need to go to a single family home.
Clarence allows other animals to live in his kingdom, he simply coexists and will strut his stuff if he feels they need a reminder on who is in charge! He enjoys short walks, his favorite pink squeaky toy, and hopping along in the backyard. His favorite activity though is being with his human and cuddling up to them on a couch!
Clarence is such a special senior that is so resilient, he has overcome many medical challenges, and we can't wait for him to find a home that sees how amazing and special he is!
Clarence’s adoption fee is $175. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
