My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boba is a handsome black kitten with a big personality and an even bigger purr. This super-friendly love bug enjoys playtime, lounging on the cat tree, and being right where all the action is. He's quite the conversationalist-especially at mealtime or when he's hoping for a little extra attention.

Boba grew up with his littermates, Bento and Ponzu, and gets along wonderfully with other cats and a dog in his foster home. He'd do great in a home with another friendly cat or adopted alongside a sibling. Boba will go home with a special goody bag of his favorite treats and toys from his foster mom, who would love to hear from his new family.

More about this shelter

Established in 1929, Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) offers quality adoptions, affordable spaying/neutering, vaccinations and microchipping services, pet care services and education programs to enhance the human-animal bond. HSSV operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are the first organization in the country to meet the guidelines put forth by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians for standards of care for shelter animals: We are the first model shelter.

We are also the first animal community center in the nation to receive Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Our mission is to save lives, keep families together, and create a better future for pets and their people.

Our vision is a world where all animals can thrive, all people experience the magic of the human-animal bond, and all families are able to care for their pets.
