Hi, I’m Rusty! 🐾
I’m a sweet 5-year-old terrier mix, about 15 pounds of love, cuddles, and happy tail wags. I may be a small guy, but my heart is huge.

I love being around my people and enjoy all the simple joys—cozy naps, gentle walks, and soaking up affection. I’m past the wild puppy stage, so I’ve got great manners and a calm, easygoing vibe, but I still get excited for playtime and adventures with my favorite humans.

I’m the kind of dog who will happily curl up next to you after a long day and make you smile just by being me. I’m ready to find my forever home—one where I can give lots of love and finally belong.

Submit Application

Whether you're interested in a specific pet or not, fill out our application online at houstonpetsalive.org.

2.
Meet the Pet

Once your application is approved, a meet and greet will be set up between you and your pet of interest.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If the meet and greet goes well and your adoption application is approved, you will sign the adoption contract.

4.
Pay Fee

Once the adoption contract is signed, you will pay the adoption fee.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Bring your new best friend home! Remember that it will take some time for him/her to adjust to their new environment.
