Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Come meet me and hundreds of adoptable pets at Cincinnati's mega adoption event, My Furry Valentine! Saturday, February 21st and Sunday February 22nd at Spooky Nook Sports!
Meet Toeby—a teeny, adorable 6-month-old Maltipoo weighing just 4.5 lbs! Rescued from an Amish puppy mill, this little guy has already proven how resilient he is. Toeby is missing a couple of toes on one back foot, but don’t worry—it doesn’t slow him down at all. Because he’s also missing the pads on those toes, he can be a bit sensitive to the cold and may occasionally hop along on three legs if that foot gets uncomfortable.
A typical energetic puppy, Toeby will do best with an adopter who can keep him active and engaged. He enjoys playing in the yard and having fun with stuffed toys. He is also a gentle, affectionate boy who loves cuddling up with his foster mom. Toeby will truly thrive in a home that offers structure, consistency, and lots of love.
Crate training and potty training are still works in progress, though he’s already improving—especially now that the weather has warmed up. With patience, a routine, and a canine friend by his side, Toeby will be an immensely happy boy.
Toeby is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $400.00.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
