My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown, likely yes
Good with kids: Yes, dog savvy children
Crate trained: Mostly
House Trained: Mostly

Cypress Woods is a handsome brindle boy! The perfect mix of sweet and charming, he loves to tire himself out by playing with a chew toy or wrestling with other dogs. Cypress is looking for a home where he can continue to build his confidence and explore all the fun that life has to offer.

Cypress loves other dogs and would enjoy having a sibling who could help him feel brave in new situations. This sweet guy has lived happily with dog-savvy kids, and while he hasn’t met cats yet he would likely do well with proper introductions. Cypress likes to set his own pace when meeting new people and appreciates it when his humans make sure he has the time and space he needs to feel comfortable. Once he feels safe and secure, he’s a fun and playful buddy!

Cypress has been making wonderful progress with his crate training and house training. He is consistently crated during the day and overnight and settles in quickly, though he may whine for a few minutes if he thinks something interesting is happening in another room. Cypress has been working hard on alerting when he needs to go outside, and with patience, consistency, and time in his new home, he’s sure to perfect his house training in no time. This smart boy has also been learning to enjoy his leash, and he looks forward to learning more about all of the fun he can have on walks with his family.

Cypress is a sweetheart who can’t wait to blossom in his new home. Could you be the one to help him shine?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
