Meet Dora!
Dora is a loving, affectionate, and happy girl who bonds quickly with her people. She is a 1 year beagle/cattle dog mix. She adores cuddling and has a special way of bringing smiles and laughter wherever she goes—she even smiles when she’s getting pets! Dora has so much love to give and is ready to be someone’s loyal best friend.
She’s a well-mannered companion with no nuisance barking, even when other dogs walk by. She walks nicely on a leash. Dora shows interest in “people food” but doesn’t beg and will politely leave you alone while you eat. She lets you know when she needs to go outside by going to the door and tapping it.
Dora is a smart pup who already knows several commands, including sit, no, and let’s go in. If given the choice, she’d happily cuddle on the couch or sleep at your feet, but she also responds very well to gentle corrections and boundaries. A couple of things she’s still working on are jumping up for pets and occasionally putting hands in her mouth—both typical behaviors that she’s improving with guidance
She’s friendly with both people and other dogs and would do well as a family pet or as a loving companion for a single person. Dora can feel a little disappointed when her foster family members leave the room or the house, but with reassurance, she quickly rebounds.
Dora enjoys playing with toys indoors and outside and would thrive in a home where she can share affection, companionship, and playtime. She seems to match your energy so she'd be up for light walks and relaxing beside you or outdoor higher-energy adventures. If you would like to meet this dog, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $275.
