My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sup? I’m Oreo and I’m Dior. We love to sleep a lot together. Oreo is a bit of a double stuff kinda guy, well I’m the type to just want to stay by him and sleep. We both appreciate a little attention, but we don’t necessarily need it 24/7. Both of us would prefer to just be left to ourselves. Oreo is the kinda guy who would rather not be touched, and I’m the type that you need to go slow with. However, if the right person comes along to take us home together, I’m sure we could work something out. By the way, we are neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, so we are ready to go! Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

At AuSable Valley Animal Shelter we pride ourselves on making adoption accessible for all those looking to have a pet for companionship. Most of these pets have had an unknown past so we work hard to make sure their futures are safe, secure, and happy. It is always our priority in a new home, that they will be properly cared for and receive the proper veterinary care and home environment they need to live a long and happy life.

Go meet their pets

We are open to the public Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-6pm, you do not need to have an appointment to come in and view our available animals.

More about this shelter

Ausable Valley is a private non-profit No Kill animal shelter. We have a very active core of volunteers and have a play and exercise based enrichment program for all of our animals. AVAS staff work very hard to match pets to people.
