Meet Molly, a sweet Great Pyrenees girl who's currently in boarding and dreaming of her foster or forever home! This loving lady is both housebroken and leash trained. Molly is food motivated and smart as a whip—she's just waiting for someone to give her the direction she craves and teach her new things! With medium energy levels, she loves to run and play, and she absolutely adores the snow (as any good Pyr should!). Molly enjoys both indoor and outdoor time, and she's non-destructive in her kennel, so she'd likely do well with the run of the house or a cozy room of her own—just no crates, as she prefers her freedom. She's great with children and meets new people with enthusiasm, though she'd do best as either an only dog or with a calmer male companion. This gentle girl doesn't jump but will happily greet you with a signature Pyr lean! She barks like a typical guardian when announcing visitors or joining in with other dogs, but that's just her way of saying she's on the job. Molly loves car rides, doesn't mind grooming, adores her Kuranda bed and blankies, and will happily accept any treat you offer (especially if you keep them coming!). The ideal home for this special girl would include a 5-foot securely fenced yard, plenty of attention and affection, and a patient pyrent ready to teach her new commands and watch her blossom into the wonderful companion she's meant to be!

Fencing: Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered. Fees for senior dogs (7 or older) and foster dogs will be adjusted accordingly.

Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
