My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sup? I’m Oreo, and if it fits (or even if it doesn’t fits), I’s sits. That’s my life motto. I’m really a loner sort of guy, and if you can’t tell from my photos, I’m a bit of a double stuff Oreo. I enjoy spending my time catching some zzz’z, the only problem is: I’m a little too big for some of the spaces in this room. I am a boy that appreciates a little attention but does not necessarily need it 24/7. I can be a little spicy around the edges, however, sometimes just leaving me be to my naps is preferred. You wouldn’t want to be disturbed in the middle of a nice cookie-flavored dream, would ya? If you dream of sugar plums and fairies, you might be the cherry on top that my sundae is missing. I’m neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, so I’m ready to go! For more information, please call 989-348-4117 or email us at AVASCares2@gmail.com.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

At AuSable Valley Animal Shelter we pride ourselves on making adoption accessible for all those looking to have a pet for companionship. Most of these pets have had an unknown past so we work hard to make sure their futures are safe, secure, and happy. It is always our priority in a new home, that they will be properly cared for and receive the proper veterinary care and home environment they need to live a long and happy life.

Go meet their pets

We are open to the public Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-6pm, you do not need to have an appointment to come in and view our available animals.

More about this shelter

Ausable Valley is a private non-profit No Kill animal shelter. We have a very active core of volunteers and have a play and exercise based enrichment program for all of our animals. AVAS staff work very hard to match pets to people.
