My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our beautiful friend Henry (estimated at 3-5 years old) is quite a survivor. Rumor has it that he was once loved and had a home, but one day that love ran out and he was kicked out of his home, literally. Sadly, he had to learn how to fend for himself outside. He found food and shelter and hung around the familiar apartment building for at least two years until a nice neighbor gave him a warm place to sleep at night and contacted QCC. (Last picture is before his rescue.)
Now in foster care, Henry is warm, well-fed, and very much loved again. He is learning about normal inside noises and we're working on eliminating his fear of them. He now trusts his foster mom and she recently discovered that he is an absolute snuggle bug. He curls up in her lap or lies on her chest, purring and then eventually falling asleep. Henry loves catnip and is very good at figuring out treat puzzles; he has a good appetite and uses the litter box like a champ. This sweet tabby boy will make someone very happy. Henry needs a quiet home and a patient adopter who will continue to work on earning his trust and gently eliminating his fears. An environment without small children, dogs, or other cats, will be best for Henry. If you want to meet this handsome lad, complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.
