Dakota is a beautiful, spirited girl who’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place when she’s got the right people by her side. A bit fearful at first, she needs a patient person who will give her the time and space to build trust — but once she bonds with you, she’ll be your ride-or-die companion.
Dakota is dog selective and does best with slow introductions. While she’s non-reactive in the kennel and around fence-line neighbors, she can be leash-reactive, likely due to fear, so ongoing confidence-building and training will go a long way for her.
This girl has energy to spare! She’ll thrive in a home with a fenced yard, where she can zoom around safely and play. Because of her fearfulness, we’re recommending a home with teenagers or older who understand how to respect a dog’s space and needs.
She’s not the kind of dog who gives her heart to just anyone — but if you earn her trust, you’ll have it forever.
Adoption donation is $395 cash, $420 credit, debit or Venmo. This donation includes a microchip.

An adoption counselor will call you to talk about the dog you are interested in.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
Come on out and meet the pet you are interested in. You can take them home that day if all seems good.
