My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lulu has a slightly goofy charm that shines through once she feels comfortable, and overall she’s a sweet, fluffy cotton ball with a big personality tucked inside her tiny frame.

Originally surrendered when her elderly owner could no longer provide proper care, we made sure this senior girl is healthy, spayed, and ready for a new family to share her golden years.

Lulu is independent and playful, often showing off with bursts of energy that make her feel like a little ball of joy bouncing around the room. While she can be a bit shy when meeting new people, she tolerates handling and is incredibly docile and easy to hold when required. Lulu can be a bit picky about veggies, but eats hay consistently and likes stacking cups and chewable rabbit toys; litterbox habits are decent.

More about this rescue

We are the primary house rabbit rescue in the Houston Area. We work with area shelters to move rabbits into foster care (particularly rabbits in danger of euthanasia) and with owner surrenders when the owner is willing to "Foster in Place" (continue to provide space and care for the rabbit(s) while we assist in facilitating an adoption.

Through partnerships with area veterinarians, we spay/neuter all of the rabbits in our foster care as well as many rabbits in area shelters. We work to educate the public about house rabbits and their care and the need for spay/neuter. We encourage responsible adoptions to indoor homes and discourage impulse adoptions/purchases (particularly "Easter bunnies").
