Meet Mocha
Mocha is a sweet, playful girl who greets her favorite people with a happily wagging tail and an enthusiastic game of fetch. Once she feels safe, she turns into a total cuddle bug and will happily melt right into you for snuggles.
Like many dogs who have experienced being abandoned or given up on, Mocha can be nervous and unsure at first. She arrived scared, but thanks to patience, love, and the 3-3-3 rule (3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn the routine, 3 months to truly feel at home), she has blossomed beautifully. In just two days with her foster, she was already playing fetch and cuddling… a perfect example of how powerful patience can be with rescue dogs.
Mocha forms a strong, loving bond with her person and is happiest when she’s close to them. She’s still building trust with other members of the household, so she’s looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to feel fully secure.
She is calm and quiet in her crate, waits politely for affection, and has so much love to give once she feels safe. Her experience with kids and cats is currently unknown. She enjoys the company of other dogs.
Mocha is eager to trust and ready to love. With a gentle heart and a little patience, she will be an incredibly loyal, affectionate companion for the right home.
Can you be Mocha’s hero?!
