My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🦴 Meet Oogie!
One Year Old | Mixed Breed | Social Butterfly

Looking for a young guy who already knows how to share? Meet Oogie! At just one year old, Oogie has already mastered the art of "group living." He’s a friendly, medium-energy pup who is officially ready to find the family that will be his forever team.

🏡 The Perfect Roommate
Oogie is a social pro. He has lived with both cats and dogs, making him a fantastic choice for a multi-pet household.

With Dogs: He’s playful and respects the pack.

With Cats: He’s lived alongside his feline friends and understands the "cat rules" of the house.

🌟 Personality & Training
Young & Eager: Being only a year old, Oogie is at the perfect age for training. He’s curious, attentive, and ready to learn all the tricks you want to teach him.

The Best of Both Worlds: He has that fun, "zoomie" puppy energy for the park, but he’s mature enough to settle down for a nap at your feet while you work.

A Blank Slate (Almost!): He’s already got the social foundation down; now he just needs a human to guide him through the rest of his adventures.

More about this shelter

At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.
