Meet Smokey (“Smokester,” “Smokey girl,” “Lil Smoke”) 🐾

Hi! I’m Smokey, a sweet, petite girl around 4 years old. If you’re looking for a kitty who will keep you company and “chat” with you throughout the day, I’m your girl — I meow and chirp a lot, not loudly, I’m just a little talker. 💛

My favorite things are food, chin scratches, and making sure you know exactly what I’m thinking. I also love my scratching post with the cozy bed attached — it’s the perfect spot for relaxing between snacks and conversations.

One thing to know about me: my biggest fear is being abandoned. 😿 I’m happiest with a family who will give me consistency, affection, and a forever home where I can feel safe. I like other cats and would love to have a cat friend!

If you want a loving little companion who will “talk” to you and soak up attention, Smokey is ready to meet you. 🥰🐈‍⬛

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

We accept applications online and in person at events. Applications are accepted on a first-come basis.

2.
Meet the Pet

We require an in-person meeting with potential adopters and one of our adoption specialists. All members of the family should be present.

3.
Interview

Interviews can be conducted via email or in person and may happen before, after or during the in-person meeting with the pet.

4.
Home Check

Home checks may be completed at the discretion of the interviewing adoption specialist.

5.
Approve Application

A follow-up contact will be made by an adoption specialist 1-3 days post-adoption and again at 10-14 days.

We are an all volunteer staffed rescue. Typical response times are less than 12 hours; however, please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Reducing the number of unwanted pets through spay and neuter programs.

Keeping pets in homes by providing education and resources.
