My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Holly 💚

Holly is a beautiful 9-month-old dark brown tabby with short, velvety-soft fur and the most striking green eyes. She’s full of personality and absolutely adores her people — on her terms.
This confident girl knows exactly what she likes. Holly will happily request pets when she’s in the mood and isn’t shy about setting gentle boundaries when she’s had enough. She’s independent, self-assured, and refreshingly honest — the kind of cat who forms a very special bond with her person.

💬 Personality
Holly is quite the little conversationalist. She’ll call out if she can’t find you and often meows as if she has something very important to report. Her chatty nature only adds to her already big charm.
She is:
✨ Affectionate (when she invites it)
✨ Confident
✨ Independent
✨ Curious
✨ Playful
✨ Full of personality

🏡 Ideal Home
Holly could do well as an only cat or with a calm feline friend who respects her space. She will need a slow introduction if she will be living with another cat. She has not been around dogs or young children, so a quiet, adult-only home would suit her best.
Because Holly can become overstimulated, she will thrive with an adopter who:
Understands feline body language
Respects her cues
Keeps interactions calm and positive
With the right person, Holly is an incredibly rewarding companion.

🎾 Favorite Things
Holly loves to play and is a big fan of catnip — especially her beloved catnip banana. 🍌🐱
Favorite treats:
Temptations
Churu (her absolute weakness)
Treat time is easily one of the highlights of her day.

🩺 Health & Care
Holly is:
✅ Spayed
✅ Microchipped
✅ Fully vaccinated

She can be sensitive during vet visits and does best with calm, patient handling.

If you’re looking for a smart, expressive, slightly sassy girl who will form a deep bond with her person, Holly may be your perfect match. 💚🐾

More about this rescue

🐾 Our Mission at Billy the Kidden Rescue 🐾

Billy the Kidden Rescue is a VDACS-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2014 and supported by a network of over 60 active foster homes across Hampton Roads.

Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce the feral cat population in our community by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens—transforming them into loving, adoptable pets and placing them in safe, forever homes.

💙 Our Heart is in TNR
We are proud advocates of TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return)—the humane, effective method of managing community cats. Through this program, feral cats are:

✔️ Trapped
✔️ Neutered or Spayed
✔️ Vaccinated
✔️ Ear-Tipped (as a universal sign they've been fixed)
✔️ Returned to live safely in their outdoor colonies without contributing to overpopulation.

We are actively working to promote legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads.

🐱 Feral Kitten Socialization
Our feral kitten socialization program is one of a kind—with a 90% success rate in helping feral-born kittens become affectionate, in-home pets. Through experienced fostering, patience, and love, these kittens learn to trust, play, and thrive indoors.

💪 Get Involved!
We’re always looking for passionate animal lovers to join our team. Help us make a difference by becoming a:
