My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dennis 🐾
1–2 years old • 11 lbs • Neutered male

At a solid 11 pounds of pure charm, Dennis truly enjoys the finer things in life — like a comfy couch, a sunny windowsill, and uninterrupted nap time. He has mastered the art of relaxation and takes his lounging responsibilities very seriously.

Dennis is an easygoing, mellow guy who brings a calm, comforting presence to a home, but he’s also a total sweetheart who loves attention. His foster says he greets people with little meows and chirps when they enter the room and happily soaks up pets and affection whenever he gets the chance.

When he’s out and about, all Dennis really wants to do is snuggle and be close to his people — so much so that it’s hard to get good photos because he keeps coming in for cuddles.

He uses the litter box well (though he is a very enthusiastic digger 😄), and overall is just a sweet, gentle companion who enjoys quiet time and human connection.

Dennis can be a bit picky about other cats and would likely do best as an only cat or with a very slow introduction to the right feline friend. However, he does very well with dogs and could be a great fit for a dog-friendly home looking to add a cat.

Dennis currently has a mild upper respiratory infection and is recovering, so he won’t be at in-person events this week — but he is still available to meet by appointment for approved adopters.

If you’re looking for a laid-back, affectionate buddy who will greet you with soft chirps and happily share your couch and your sunshine, Dennis may be your perfect match.

Additional adoption info

At Rebel Animal Rescue, we believe in keeping adoption as simple and welcoming as possible. Instead of strict, one-size-fits-all requirements, we focus on open conversations with potential adopters. We want to learn about your home, lifestyle, and any challenges you might face, and work together on solutions that set you and your new pet up for success.

The adoption process starts with a short application, which we review to make sure the match could be a good fit. From there, we arrange a meet-and-greet with your entire family—and for dog adoptions, your resident dogs too.

If everyone feels good about the match, we encourage a one-week trial period. This gives you time to see how your new pet settles in. At the end of the week, we’ll finalize the adoption if it’s working out—or welcome the animal back if it’s not the right fit.

Our goal is to find loving, lasting homes while keeping the process as stress-free as possible for both you and the animal.
