Meet Nancy, a young brown tabby born around January 10, 2025, who would absolutely list “circus clown” as her dream job if given the chance. Nancy is a high-energy, outgoing cat with a huge personality and an even bigger love for people. She greets her humans enthusiastically, often meeting them at the door or the top of the stairs, chirping as if she’s been counting the minutes until they returned. Call her name and she’ll come running straight into your hands. If she feels insufficiently acknowledged—say, during grocery unloading—she’ll flop dramatically onto her back, show her belly, and chirp until attention is restored.
Nancy is exceptionally friendly with both adults and children. She has spent time with other people, including cat sitters with children and allowed herself to be carted around by a seven year old without complaint. She seeks out interaction, enjoys being picked up, and can be cradled like a baby. At night, she divides her time between snuggling in bed and racing around the house chasing spring toys, twist ties, and anything else worthy of pursuit.
She is very social and curious about other cats and would likely thrive with a playful feline companion her age. In her foster home, she showed great interest in a male foster cat, playing paws-under-the-door games and calmly observing him during supervised introductions. She mirrors the energy of other cats appropriately and would love a buddy to run, wrestle, and burn off her impressive kitten energy, especially during dawn and dusk zoomie hours.
Nancy is a consummate toy hunter and an enthusiastic game player. She enjoys batting around almost any toy, but her favorite is a small ball with a jingle inside, which she will happily play fetch with. Many mornings, she can be found having “gifted” her human by hiding multiple toys in the bed sheets overnight, just in case they were needed.
Nancy is an affectionate, playful, people-loving cat who brings laughter, companionship, and a little bit of chaos in the very best way. She would do best in an active home that appreciates her energy, enjoys her sense of humor, and maybe even has another friendly cat ready to join the show.
