Mr. Peepers is a sweet, affectionate grey-and-white boy, born around January 1, 2020, whose favorite thing in the world is being close to his people. He has a gentle presence and an expressive face that makes it impossible not to fall in love once he decides you’re worthy of his attention—which doesn’t take long.
Peepers is always seeking connection. Visitors don’t stay strangers for long; he’s been known to roll right onto his back for belly rubs the moment someone new walks in the door. He enjoys being picked up and moved from place to place, but he prefers not to be held for long periods. Instead, he shows his affection on his own terms by climbing into your lap, settling on your chest, and sleeping snuggled up very close to you in bed.
With other cats, Mr. Peepers has shown he can adjust with time. When first introduced to another foster cat, he was unsure and expressed his feelings with a few hisses, but curiosity eventually took over. He now tries to initiate play through the gap under the door, though he can still be mildly standoffish and would benefit from slow, thoughtful introductions.
Mr. Peepers isn’t especially interested in toys, but he does enjoy batting around a plastic spring and loves a scratching board laid on the ground. If he were to have a job, he’d be a massage therapist—his biscuit-making skills are impressive, and he really gets in deep.
Mr. Peepers is looking for a home where affection is welcomed, boundaries are respected, and closeness is part of everyday life. If you’re searching for a cat who truly wants to be with you—curled up, connected, and content—Mr. Peepers may be your perfect match.
