Carrie is a devoted mama turned full-time queen who knows exactly what she wants: to be your one and only. The only cats she’s ever tolerated are her own kittens—and honestly, that feels fair.
She was pulled from OCAC with her babies after landing on the euthanasia list. Shelter life was hard on her. Though she cared for her kittens with everything she had, Carrie herself was malnourished and clearly overwhelmed.
Now that she knows she’s safe? Carrie has fully stepped into her royal role. She’s loving, gentle, and affectionate with her people—but she expects exclusivity. No other cats, no dogs, just her throne and her humans.
Despite the name, don’t worry—she won’t pull a *Carrie* and burn down the high school if things don’t go her way. She and her kittens are simply named after horror movie classics, and the drama stays firmly on screen.
If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will adore you and only you, Carrie might just be your perfect match.
Carrie is currently at our PetSmart location on Woodward. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
