My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Heath is a friendly and playful black kitten, 8 months old. He seems to really like being with people, especially if one plays with him. He loves chasing wand toys, and is curious about neverything. Heath has no objection to being picked up, and will settle in for some cuddles when he's done playing and investigating. He would be an excellent choice for a family or as a support kitty.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit serving South Bend & surrounding cities. We are comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers who work to find loving homes for homeless pets in our area.

Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
