Delilah is a beautiful spayed female dilute tortoiseshell, born on August 1, 2025. She has soft gray and cream markings and the most expressive, soulful eyes. She has a gentle, thoughtful presence and carries herself with quiet confidence—equal parts curious and composed. Delilah enjoys observing the world around her and will happily perch nearby, soaking in all the action before deciding it’s time to join in. She is ready for her forever home, where she’ll thrive with patience, love, and a cozy spot to call her own. Delilah would do wonderfully with someone who appreciates a cat who’s affectionate in her own sweet way and full of understated charm. If you’re looking for a calm, elegant companion with a heart of gold, Delilah may be your perfect match. Indoor cat only! The adoption fee is $50. We are located in Western North Carolina, but we serve New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and additional areas with our transport. The adoption fee covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR or FVL-CP, Rabies, Flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment before transport. All of our pets receive a health certification prior to transport. The transport is weekly. After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery.

We are located in Western North Carolina. All of our pets are housed with foster parents. You may visit our pets in North Carolina, but call ahead so that we can make them available to you. We serve Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and additional areas with our weekly transport.

Rutherford County Humane Society is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that has been serving Rutherford County since 1979, with the mission to significantly improve the lives of unwanted and neglected animals, and to measurably decrease this number through our spay and neuter programs, volunteer foster homes, and outreach and education. We are an independent organization that works in collaboration with other area animal advocacy groups. All of our efforts depend on our passionately compassionate volunteers, and financial support from the community. We have made the decision to use our resources to continue promoting the number one solution to our pet overpopulation problem - and that is spay/neuter.
