My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Juliet

Juliet is a 4-month-old black DSH with a tiny body, a huge heart, and classic kitten charm. She loves to cuddle — in fact, she could happily snuggle all day if you let her. Being close to her people is her favorite thing.

When she’s not soaking up affection, she’s off playing and exploring. She enjoys toys, chasing fun, and showing off her playful side. But make no mistake — cuddling is still her top priority.

Sweet, loving, and full of personality, Juliet is ready to pick her favorite person… and if you adopt her, that just might be you.

Thanks to a grant from PetSmart Charities, Juliet’s adoption fee is reduced by $25!

I am available for adoption at PetSmart Rowlett located at 5709 Liberty Grove Rd, Rowlett, TX 75089. For more information about me, please email cats@frastx.org.

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. FRAs was founded in 2004 by 4 volunteers who wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter. Our organization has grown to over 300 volunteers, and with this growth, we now support four municipal shelters and operate our own cat rescue program.

Our mission is to provide resources, programs and education to promote adoption and care of homeless pets in our community. FRAs’ vision is a world where every companion animal has a safe and loving forever home. We are a 100% all volunteer run organization, and our ability to help homeless animals depends on donations from the community and grant funding.

Our organizational programs include operating the volunteer program for both shelters, providing funding for heartworm treatments and emergency medical care, accepting cats from the shelter and citizens into our foster-based cat rescue, supporting TNR/SNR efforts for community cats and most recently funding dog transport initiatives. Our volunteers spend thousands of hours socializing and marketing the animals for adoption, which increases the number of animals with a positive outcome. FRAs has helped countless pets avoid euthanasia, find their forever homes and live longer, healthier lives.
