Meet Rosa – the Sweetest Soul with the Coolest Eyes in Texas!
Rosa is a 2-year-old, 42-lb Australian Shepherd/Kelpie mix with a uniquely colored coat that makes her as beautiful outside as she is inside! She’s gentle, easygoing, and about as drama-free as they come. If dogs had a “Most Likely to Be Everyone’s Favorite” award, Rosa would win it paws down.
This lovely girl gets along beautifully with just about everyone—people, dogs, kids, new situations—you name it. She’s calm, confident, and refreshingly mellow for an Aussie mix. Think less “whirling devilish herding machine” and more “professional couch companion with occasional zoomies.”
And let’s talk about those eyes! Rosa has one stunning blue eye and one soulful brown eye. According to urban legend, that means she can see things in heaven and on earth at the same time. Pretty cool superpower, right? Basically, she’s part dog, part magical guardian angel.
Rosa also comes fully loaded with excellent house manners:

Hay Dude Equine Rescue, in Boerne, TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs, are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each pup comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

(1) promote and educate the public on horse slaughter and equine abuse
(2) Rescue, retrain and rehome slaughter bound, abused, or neglected horses
(3) educate the public on proper horse care and husbandry
(4) offer assistance to equine owners in times of natural or personal disaster
(5) rehabilitate neglected and abused equines
(6) accept donations of rehomeable equines for adoption and placement
(7) adopt equines into thoroughly vetted homes
