Mao is slow to warm up to new people, but around those she's familiar with, she is an extremely affectionate lap cat. She loves spending time outside and is partially leash-trained. (She will walk on hiking trails, but gets spooked by other walkers/pets/vehicles). She really enjoys being taken outdoors in a mesh backpack.
I am her second owner. Her first owner had her partially declawed (front claws removed). She has not shown any signs of being in pain due to that, but it's something to look out for. Her first owner rehomed her to me because Mao does not like children. She has never bitten anyone, but hisses at kids.
