6 month old feral kitten was found during the -30F weather we had a few weeks ago. We caught her and brought her inside to keep from freezing, and have been caring for her since.
This cat has quickly warmed up to people, and is a good lap cat.
We originally took her in to a TNR program for spay and rabies shot. Later, we were able to get her to our vet for a full check-up. In good physical health - just minor frost-bite to the tip of the one ear. However, she did test positive for Feline Leukemia virus. As such, she needs to be an indoor only cat.
She has been kept isolated from our other cats by means of a large wire cage, and she took straight to the litter box in it.
Since she has her adult teeth in, our vet placed her age at least 6 months, but no more than a year. I would say it's on the younger side.
This is a really sweet little animal, and I'm sad to say that we can't provide a home for her, but we will continue to foster until we can find her permanent home.
