Who am I ?
I'm Nanni, a female Corgi cross. Think of a cute Corgi body with a heart-warming lab face/smile (all my dog friends are envious)!
I'm 7 months old (spayed) and currently weigh 25 lbs. and I’m expected to be a small-medium sized corgi with the typical small body and short legs. I love cuddles, am outgoing and good with humans, dogs and cats alike.
Where did I come from?
I was born in August 2025, my siblings and I had a very hard start in life. We were born on a rural property just outside Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, largely uncared for until a worried neighbor went to check on us to bring us food. We did suffer from wounds on our backs from getting caught on some fencing. Thankfully we got the care we needed from our rescuer and the SPCA PV. I'm now happy, healthy, spayed and fully vaccinated! I do have some of the scars on my back and lost part of my tail, but I think it makes me look cool and cute.
I went to check out a Saturday market and was able to hang out and meet with some humans large and small. I also went to a neat sanctuary and got to play with other dogs and cats (see video). I have the confidence of a large dog in a smaller dog's body. My smiles and cuddles are sure to win your heart.
What am I looking for?
I'm looking for my forever home and person(s)! I'm currently in foster care in Squamish with my big sister Vanilla (different parents but have grown up together as litter mates).
I've only lived outdoors in a warm climate so I would love some guidance on settling into a nice home and environment where I can take my time and be introduced into the beautiful world.
If you think you might be a good fit for me, please reach out to pvcaadoptions@gmail.com

PVCA Animal Rescue is the sister organization of the SPCA Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. We facilitate the transportation and adoption of rescue dogs into loving forever homes. PVCA is a network of volunteers, transporters, and foster homes. Our sister shelter, the SPCA PV rescues, rehabilitates and promote sterilization in the Puerto Vallarta area, with the goal of eliminating the euthanasia of healthy and adoptable animals. The organizations are wholly run through donations and volunteer efforts. The dogs & cats of Mexico are too often found living on the streets after being discarded and/or extremely abused. Compassion Knows No Boundaries!
