Norbert came to us through our Community Cat program, which means we do not know much about his background. What we do know is that he is a young friendly guy with love to give. Norbie has been pretty chill -- no crazy kitten antics so far -- but we know he will blossom in his forever home and be ready for toy time in no time! As with all cats who come from the outdoors, it might take Norbert a while to transition to his new home and get fully comfortable. We will be happy to discuss transition techniques with you. Norbert is currently up to date on vaccinations and flea and tick preventative, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and examined by our vet team.

Situated 10 miles southwest of Boston on the beautiful grounds of the former summer sanctuary for the city’s working horses, ARL’s newly remodeled shelter in Dedham, Massachusetts is just a glimpse into ARL’s bold future. The new modern shelter design allows us to provide even more animals with high-quality direct animal care that meets best-practice standards in animal welfare.
The 27-acre property serves as ARL’s main livestock center and is home to Pine Ridge Pet Cemetery, the oldest continuously operated pet cemetery by a humane society in the United States.
