My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lemon Meringue, a sweet tuxedo kitten with a bright personality inspired by the cheerful charm of Strawberry Shortcake 🍋🐾

Just like her namesake, Lemon Meringue is full of sunshine and sweetness. This adorable tuxedo kitten is playful, curious, and loves being around people. She’s the kind of kitten who turns everyday moments into fun adventures, whether she’s chasing toys, exploring new corners, or bouncing over to greet you with happy kitten energy.

Lemon Meringue has a loving, friendly nature and would thrive in a home ready for playtime, laughter, and plenty of snuggles once she’s ready to recharge. She brings the perfect mix of spunky fun and affectionate charm that makes kittenhood so special.

Lemon Meringue has been spayed, microchipped, and is current on vaccines and flea prevention.
All New Leash cats must be strictly indoor and may not be declawed. Lemon Meringue’s adoption fee is $75.

If you’re ready to add a little sweetness, sparkle, and playful joy to your home, Lemon Meringue is ready to whisk her way right into your heart 🍋💛🐱

More about this rescue

New Leash on Life is dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in our community through shelter, placement, spay/neuter, education and awareness.

Our goals include the following:

To educate the public about the importance of having their pets spayed or neutered, and to provide low or no cost surgeries for those in need.

To shelter and provide care for stray, abused, or relinquished animals.

To educate the general population about the seriousness of pet overpopulation.

To end euthanasia as a means of controlling pet overpopulation.

To find good homes for the animals in our care.

Our hope for the future is that there will be no unwanted, unloved or abandoned companion animal. We will continue with our aggressive spay/neuter campaign and our owner education programs in the hopes that any pet ever adopted will find a permanent, loving home. We believe that with the involvement of our community we will make a significant impact on the welfare of companion animals, but we need your help and understanding. Together, will make the difference.
