My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jimbo is a gentle soul with a heart of gold. He’s on the shy and nervous side and likes to take his time getting to know new people, but once he feels safe, his sweet personality really starts to shine. With patience, kindness, and a few tasty treats, Jimbo is learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.

Here at the shelter, his confidence has been slowly but surely building, and it’s been wonderful to watch him blossom! He’s a very good boy who just needs a family willing to continue this journey with him, going at his pace and celebrating each little win along the way. Jimbo would do best in a calm, understanding home that can offer consistency and plenty of positive reinforcement (treats are a big motivator once he’s comfortable!). In return, you’ll gain a loyal and loving new best buddy!

If you’re looking for a truly special dog to grow with, Jimbo may be your perfect match. Submit your application for this boy today!

Additional adoption info

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
