Hopper is a small, sweet, affectionate dog who has been a deeply loved part of our family. He came to Massachusetts from Puerto Rico and was rescued through Sterling Animal Shelter, where we adopted him on October 13, 2019, when he was just 3 months old.
Now an adult dog, Hopper thrives in calm, predictable environments. He is fully potty trained, walks well on a leash, and knows basic commands like sit and paw. He enjoys going for walks, quiet companionship, and being close to the people he trusts.
Hopper is loyal and loving but does best when his boundaries are respected—especially around food and when he is sleeping. He prefers not to be startled during these moments.
We are seeking a child-free home or a home with older, dog-savvy children, with an owner who understands dog behavior and can provide structure and consistency. This decision comes from love and responsibility, and our hope is to place Hopper in a home where he can feel safe, relaxed, and truly thrive.
