My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hi, my name is Basil, and I am your new best friend.  Being right beside you at all times is my absolute favorite thing.  I am very smart and quickly learn new routines and tricks.  I love taking walks and wrestling with my golden retriever in my foster home.  I don't mind friendly cats who like to play with me, but if they are bossy cats and smack me, sometimes I forget my manners and chase after them.  Kids are so much fun, and I get so excited when I meet them.  I am crate trained, though if you are home, I prefer to be with you and sleep in bed with you at night, but if you insist on me going to my crate, I will go in and settle down after a few minutes.  I am working on house training, but I am pee pad trained.  I will need to meet any potential doggy friends in my new home because I can be selective of which dogs I like.  So far I seem to prefer laid-back large breed dogs, and I'm not so much a fan of bossy dogs my size.  I will resource guard my food bowl, so I need to be fed separately, but I will mind my manners while working on training and being given treats.
