*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS ***
Laura would like a home with Connie, and we would be willing to adopt these two to the same home for 1 adoption fee.
Meet Laura, a gentle, vigilant explorer who is looking for a patient heart to call her own! This sweet girl is the definition of a "good house guest"—she seems to be fully house-trained with zero accidents when kept on a routine and can be trusted to roam the house freely without any trouble. While she is a skittish girl who stays on high alert, her curiosity always wins out in the end. You’ll often find her peek-a-boo snacking (she absolutely loves to eat but likes to do so in private!) or trotting over to give you a quick, curious sniff and tail wags before darting back to safety. She is a quiet companion who sleeps like a dream in her crate overnight, making her a very peaceful addition to a calm home.
Laura is looking for a specific kind of love—the kind that understands great things take time! While she isn't a fan of being held and will stiffen her body if picked up, she is finding her own way to show affection. After only 2 weeks in her foster home, she has already started jumping up on the couch to lounge nearby her foster mom, and once she feels settled, she’ll even roll over for those coveted belly rubs! When life gets a little too loud, she finds comfort in her "safe spot" hiding behind the sofa, but when she’s feeling brave, she’s the ultimate couch potato. Because she is a fast-moving girl who is very hard to catch if she gets loose, she needs a secure environment and an owner who is happy to let her bloom at her own pace. For the patient adopter, the reward of Laura’s hard-earned trust is truly the greatest gift of all!

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccines, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.
If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please complete an Adoption Application at our website: savinggracenc.org
Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.
Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.

More about this rescue
Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.
We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
