My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet George! 💙

George is a young cattle dog mix, estimated to be just over a year old, who came to us through animal control—so his past is a bit of a mystery. What we do know is that he’s a bright, energetic boy with that classic cattle dog curiosity and zest for life.

George is still learning the ropes and would benefit from continued training, structure, and plenty of mental and physical enrichment. He’s at a great age to grow into an amazing companion with the right guidance. An active home that understands working breeds would be ideal for this handsome guy.

If you’re looking for a smart, fun-loving pup who’s ready to start his next chapter, George might be your perfect match! 🐾

More about this shelter

Companions Animal Center is a non-profit organization funded exclusively by donations and grants. Every day we receive numerous homeless animals. We shelter, feed, and provide medical care for these animals while searching for loving homes for them.

As a "No-Kill" shelter, animals who are in our facility do not face a "be adopted quick or else" ultimatum but rather are cared for until they can be placed.

Our Mission - is to focus all of our efforts and resources toward directly benefiting the quality of life for all abandoned or mistreated pets with the ultimate goal of finding each one a loving household in which to share their lives.
