My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A BIG, SWEET & FUN PUPPY:  Approx. 3-4 months old / Approx. 55 lbs. & growing

Hi, my name is Redd!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and started stealing hearts right away.  I spent time in a short break foster home recently and am now in another foster home having fun!  I’m ready to have a home of my very own - perhaps with YOU?

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them.  I was also very friendly with a dog I saw through the fence in my temp foster home.  So, if you have a nice doggie that would like a big puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over, as I am going to be a big boy.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m an easy-going pup with a great personality who is pretty mellow for my age.  My gentle yet playful and fun demeanor is just adorable. The rumor is that I am 55 lbs. and growing, but – sshhhhh – I am really a lap dog – lol. Loving, playful and very smart, I will bring the best puppy love to my new home, as I grow into a wonderful adult dog. / My energy level is 5-7.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  Did I mention I am quite smart?  I have already mastered the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘down’, and ‘drop it’ commands and I greet friendly strangers without jumping up on them. / In my temp. foster home, I went into the crate with no issues and slept there through the night without so much as a peep. / My potty manners are progressing nicely.  I am doing well with frequent let-outs, so keep me on a good schedule so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  Treat rewards really get my attention, so – when playing fetch, I like to bring the ball back in exchange for a treat.  This has made my command training easy and fun, too.  I enjoy the play yard at the shelter and would really love a fenced yard in my new home where I can run around and play with you.  I love to play with a multitude of toys, and – when playtime is over, I am equally excited about all the cuddles and snuggles I can collect. / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and neutered.  I’m a large breed dog, so I eat large breed puppy food.

If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a large puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse
