If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Kota is a sweet boy but we adopted him and his sister at the same time. We have worked with a trainer and learned that he and his sister have littermate syndrome (look it up). He has become increasingly protective of her and now showing aggression with visitors and even our kids if they try to pet his sister. We want him to have a good life because he is a good guy, but it seems he needs a home away from his sister to find his chill. Our kids will be devastated because they love him but everything I read is that his behavior will probably escalate if he stays with his littermate. He is only 10 months now so there is plenty of time for him to turn it around. Bonus is that he really took to training and direction so I can share those tricks and skills with you.
