If you're ready to live the high-end life, you'll definitely want to adopt Dennis Basso! This sweet 2.5-year-old, 31 pound terrier is a true gentleman. Crate- and house-trained, and good on a leash, Dennis's foster called him a "class act." He knows just how to acclimate to big city living and handles every new encounter with ease. Dennis also responds to commands and cues, expresses his needs, and he greets other dogs with calm and friendly charm. Everyone loves Dennis, and you will, too!

The best way to meet our pups is via private meetings or at adoption events. We host these weekly at various locations around NYC.

Our adoption fee ranges from $275-$550 and covers the costs of vetting, boarding, transportation, and other necessary items for our dogs.

Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based rescue with dual bases in New York City, NY and Dallas, TX. We are dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of shelter dogs through direct lifesaving, shared learning, and community building. Our incredible network of rescue partners, fosters, volunteers, and a small but mighty staff work together to save dogs in the areas where shelters are under the greatest stress, and unite them with loving adopters ready to give them the lives they deserve.
