My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rio!

Rio is a handsome pup, just over a year old, with a playful spirit and a sweet heart.

He loves to have fun, enjoys being around people, and does great with other dogs.

Rio is a quick learner, who is very smart, and highly treat motivated! He’s already learned his basic commands!

Rio is still learning that his kennel is a safe, comfy place, and he’s making steady progress with patience and routine.

With a little reassurance and lots of love, Rio is going to thrive with his future family.

Rio loves a good play session followed by a good amount of cuddling.

If you’re looking for a young, affectionate dog with tons of potential, Rio could be your perfect match.

More about this rescue

We are an animal welfare organization located in Shelby County, Alabama. Our mission is to rescue “priority” dogs (priority dogs are dogs who are at risk of euthanasia due to length of shelter stay, lack of interest from the public, behavioral issues, medical needs, and age) from overcrowded shelters to rehabilitate, rehome, shelter, and provide the love they deserve.
